Tiregate: Straight talk from msnbc.com Sports Writer

What does JT The Brick know about NASCAR? He's a stick and ball guy, and not much of one of those.

If you go to a football game and it pours down so much rain where the players can hardly stand up, do fans ask for a refund? No. There is always a risk for the ticket holder that something could happen if things don't go as "normal". Racing is no different. If I had been at Indy and sat through that, I wouldn't have demanded a refund. That's part of it. But I also wouldn't go back either.

If the rain gets to that point at a baseball game, they'd call it or put it on delay. Of course, that's the only way you could make baseball interesting.

I wouldn't demand a refund, but I sure as hell wouldn't go the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Quite honestly, I lost every reason I liked it. I think it's overrated, and the racing isn't that good in either the 500 or 400.

Oh, it's very overrated. I would never pay good money to go there in person for the Brickyard or the Indy 500. At best, you're only seeing half the race.
