I was looking on youtube for footage of the start of the 1992 Pepsi 400, and can't find anything (can you?). Anyways, I stumbled upon this. I've never seen it before.

Maybe Kyle Petty and Yanni have more in common than just looks after all, huh?

This was on the old Wide Open soundtrack :lol2:

"Dedicated NASCAR fans" and "The fastest horse in a one horse town" are pretty good songs. The album is the epitome of redneck stereotypes though.

Oh, yeah. I had either the first or second edition of this Wide Open series - on cassette. I don't recall the above song, though, for some reason.

As far as NASCAR drivers moonlighting as singers, Marty Robbins has to be at the top of this short list. Although it would be more correct to say that Robbins was moonlighting as a NASCAR driver. I wonder if any driver has sung the national anthem before a Cup or NNS race he (or she) was to drive in.

Hey I remember this! I was nine years old! lol

Speaking of Kyle Petty has anyone noticed how much he says the word "man" while calling a race...MAN it is really annoying...MAN lol

Did anyone catch his comment about "speed dating" on the pre-race show last week? Funny stuff!

For those that missed it, they were showing a clip of Larry Mac, Kyle Petty and the Speed crew on the side of one of the hills at Sonoma and a heard of sheep came through behind them.

Kyle said something about that being like speed dating right there.

I have no problem with Petty but he does say that alot and also tends to preface his statements with " listen, I don't care but".

Not as bad as Larry Mac saying "oh by the way" every 5 minutes.

Kyle actually recorded a country album way before this NASCAR record. Maybe some of you computer geeks can find it somewhere on the web and post it.
