I still can't find my recipie box (which means the world to me due to recipies from my Nana and greatgranny), but my friend (85 years old) in RI who first gave me the recipie again!
VENUS DE MILO SOUP
All can be doubled (which I usually do!
1/2 lean ground beef, browned and drained.
5 cups water
3 beef bullion cubes
2 chicken bullion cubes
1 can (15 oz) VegAll
1/2 cup barley or orzo (if avail), but I prefer the barley.
1 can stewed tomatoes.
Cook on top of stove for 3 hours.
Very simple and easy but delicious.
Sometimes instead of the bullion cubes I use 1 can beef bullion and 1 can Swanson's Chicken broth and 6 cups water. But then I add extra Vegall and Barley. It comes out more like stew.
Taste and work on your flavor buds while cooking!
