To the fans...

... who were throwing stuff over the fence and on to the racetrack, you guys should be ashamed to even call yourselves NASCAR fans. We've prided our sport for years, in all of motorsports, for being the best fans a sport can have.

Now, this doesn't address all the fans. Most people just flew the new Virginia state bird and went back tailgating.

But, there's the slick few who threw their botttles on the track. There's also the ones that missed the track and almost (or did in some cases) hit other people. You guys showed no more class than Kyle Busch did. Junyer lost, unfairly, but he lost. He will race another day.

I just hope you guys aren't there to see it. Actually, I hope the Commonwealth charges all those people with throwing projectile missiles.

You guys made the sport look bad, the fans look bad, and the Mid-Atlantic race fans look bad.

Absolutely low-class for any "fan" to do.

Perhaps too much alcohol was involved.

Thoes arn't fans...thoes are rednecks

Sadly, things like this happen at sporting events were beer is sold. They feel the need to cut loose.

I think the whole point is........ who is the driver involved being wrecked, passed, beaten to the checkers or whatever when the beer cans and trash start to fly?

Yeah, it is almost always Earnhardt.

I'm not saying that all fans of any particular driver are all bad.

What I have noticed from personal experience with show cars and working on a team is that I always get the most trouble from Earnhardt or Stewart fans.

And I don't dislike Earnhardt Jr. As a matter of fact, I kind of like the guy as a driver since he has matured.

Just never liked his old man.

I am offended by

the remark about rednecks!! I AM A REDNECK and I'd never throw anything on the track..
This thread is never going to be read by any of the throwers. Them poorly raised buttholes don't get on any NASCAR sites. Writing a post to them is meaningless.
Betsy:rolleyes:

Us good Rednecks would never throw beer on the track, thats Acohol Abuse!!!(and maybe spelling abuse, too) LOL Duane (besides, the cans may be my sourse of income):D

i completly agree it looks bad when they show it later on ESPN and everyone just laughs at nascar. also i think they should be arrested especially the ones that hit other fans, i mean i enjoy a nice drink here and there but you need a llittle self control.

I'm with wilson89 on this one. It's one thing to have a good time. But I get tired of trying to explain to people that not all race fans are like the ones people see on ESPN. I work in accounting and I'm a girl...you should see the look on my co-workers' faces when they realize I'm a race fan. Ill-mannered antics like throwing stuff over the fence just makes the rest of us look bad.
