Today was the hottest day of this year!!

The temp got all the way up to 94 today! But for all the rain we have had a really nice summer so far. Here it is in August and the high this year so far only being 94 is some kind of record for central Texas..I think.

Got up to 97 yesterday and they are calling for 99 or 100 for today. I gotta tell you that working out in that heat is hard!

One thing that comes to mind however is that all the time the news talks about record breaking heat, yet we have yet to break any records. Goes to show you that it really doesn't matter to the media what the truth is, they will say what they want to bolster their agenda.
 
Here in East Texas, summer has arrived. We've only been at 95 the last 2 days, but the weather prognosticators have us going to 100+ by the weekend.

Oh, well, guess the piper has to be paid for the lovely cool June and July.

*sigh*
 
It is supposed to hit 100 today in Greensboro and 99 tomorrow. I just got back from picking blueberries. Hot as hades amongst the blueberry bushes. I only picked 2 lbs., enough for me to eat on my cereal all week. Berries were small this week due to lack of rain. I don't remember the last time we had rain.
 
It hit a 100 yesterday. That is the 2nd time this year i have seen it hit 100, The 1st was a few months ago in Camden, TN. I think today is going to be hotter. :(
 
well i work at a grocery store now as a bagger and carrier...going in and out, in and out of the store taxes me in no time flat..i have to go back to the ice cream freezer for a minute to cool off after a few hours. I only have a 4 hour shift, but its a long and sweaty 4 hours. said it got up to 99 monday.
 
104° - the hottest recorded temperature nationwide is right here. :eek:

And I've been in and out all day :mad:

I hate it when they do that.....it is because of all the global warming crap the Media hypes on. Hasn't been any hotter here in the North East than when i was a kid. Damn media ticks me off:mad:
 
Well, it did break the record for today, Wednesday here in Winston Salem. Locally it hit 101 and the record was 96. One hot mother out there. :eek:
 
100*, heat index 109*, code red smog alert, AND they are repaving. I'm popping a cold one!:beerbang:
 
4:30 on the way home the radio said it was 103 here in Raleigh. Fortunately I park under a big old shade tree at work and with the windows partially open and the sun roof open it was tolerable.
It's 15 minutes on the road home and yeah a cold one was definitely in the cards...
