CONCORD, N.C. -- Herzog Jackson Motorsports, which fields the No. 92 entry in the Busch Series, and driver Todd Bodine have parted ways after 25 races together in 2002.
Bodine said in a press release that he wanted to give more time and effort to concentrate on his full-time Winston Cup ride. Bodine returned to the No. 26 Ford for Haas Carter Motorsports after they signed a deal with Discover Card earlier this year.
The team had shut down earlier in the year after sponsor Kmart declared bankruptcy.
Haas Carter Motorsports is trying to re-sign Discover for 2003. The team also hopes to retain Bodine for next season.
Bodine has driven for Herzog Jackson since the fourth race of the season, after the team let go of Andy Houston.
With the team, Bodine posted one victory, six top-five and nine top-10 finishes and is currently 16th in points. Bodine also has one Bud Pole pole this year.
