Todd Bodine wrecks a bunch of cars again

When is nascar going to do something about these guys that obviously cant race cars?

They wreck nearly every week and take out a bunch of good cars in the process!

Its Laughable :satisfied

You're right. Maybe they should just put you in the car. I am certain you could show us all how it's done.

These are the 43 best stock car drivers in the world. Who are you to call for someone to be shown the door?

Just a thought. Aren't you tired of the 22 car getting dumped into the wall every week by these guys???????

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that maybe some of these guys aren't the best 43 drivers in the world!

Yeah, I'm tired of it. I'm also tired of him running like crap and thereby putting himself in the POSITION to be wrecked every week. If that team had an ounce of consistency, Ward Burton would be top 10 in points. Period. Maybe not (in fact probably not) leading the points, but top 10 for sure. Face it, Jerry Nadeau, Todd Bodine, Steve Park, and whoever else can't wreck you if you're not running in the pack they are in. That's why Junior's stunt at Bristol pissed me off so bad - Ward had a good car for a change, and it got wrecked for him.

Ward Burton has caused wrecks. Every one of those drivers has caused wrecks. Hit shappens. I stated before in another thread, that wreck was Todd's fault, but I have seen dumber moves than what he did.

I wager that Todd Bodine has forgotten more about driving a race car than 99.9% of the racing fans will ever know.

TWF, I really respect the fact that you choose to root for drivers who you classify as 2nd tier. You're extremely honest about this kind of stuff. I wish everyone were so. :)

TWF

I guess your a nicer person than Me because I get mad when these morons wreck my favorite driver week in and week out!

Must be a little bit of Italian in me somewhere!

:satisfied

i am sure there are better drivers out there, they just dont want to move up or no one will give them a ride. and i know some of them ppl. just not going to metion any names because no one cares.

"I wager that Todd Bodine has forgotten more about driving a race car"

That sums it up for me.

I think that the people who wreck are just the people in the back.. i don't think it really matters who they are. I just have seen the drivers in the back always wrecking.

Hard Scrabble (I think) made a pretty good point about the guys in the back barely hanging on to their cars all race long. This was just another case of it. I do think Bodine pushes his over the line more often than not though.

But you got to credit him with pushing it to the edge. There are alot of drivers out there that are to affraid to push their cars that hard. Sometimes it works, others it doesn't.

I guess it proves that he's fearless. Can't take that away from him. Not very considerate though.

There is a fine line between fearless and careless, and there are a number of drivers that walk that line nearly every week. I think frustration plays a big part for the drivers that are with teams that can not or do not give them equipment capable of running with the top teams in the series. Many are determined to make something happen that their ride just will not accomodate. Hornaday in the Foyt car was a good example, he was so determined to be successful but so frustrated that his time on the track was futile and his efforts bordered on careless. He is an excellent driver and like Todd, had proven himself in other series, but could climb only as high as his equipment would allow. I feel for them all and it is a shame that every team out there can not enjoy the high dollar sponsors, the specialists, the top $$ engines and testing equipment.

Every time my driver gets next to certain drivers..I cringe my teeth because I know that one of them will send him packing. I'm sorry, but Todd Bodine is 100% wreckless and that's that!

I have my thought about T. Bodine and they aint good. So I will keep them to myself. But I will say this if I owned a race team Todd Bodine would be one of the last people I would want in it.

There would still be guys in the back.....the tracks aren't wide enough for 43 car wide racing.:) Someone will always be up front and the others will be trying to get there......Same stuff would happen. Todd's fault? Yes. Is he a less than qualified driver? No.

DEW2, now that Flyboy is gone, I will respond to this thread.

Do YOU have any stats between Busch and WC how many times Todd has wrecked or wrecked others in his career, underfunded or not??

No Kat, I don't.......I'm not a Todd Bodine fan. I've never been interested to doing any research of him. As a matter of fact I'm probably being unfair to Todd, and Brett because of my dislike of his brother Geofrey. But, having said that, I have been watching the Bodines race for years and they are good drivers.....all of them.

If they are not good drivers then they wouldn't have made it to cup.

Todd does very well in the Busch series. It seems to me that he gets a little impatient at times, and then all he!! breaks loose. At other times, just like Ward, wrong place-wrong time. JMO, it's about 50-50 (impatience/equipment-wrong place/time).

Here's hoping that Ward gets a better car this week and isn't in the back for the next wreck.!:yeehaw:
