Todd

Marty asked Jeff Green if he saw a car get into the grass and his response was:

"Had to be a Bodine"

Classic!!!!!

When they jacked up? Um Todd, it was all your fault bud.

Todd:"I know they are gonna blame me" wahhhhh

Todd Bodine does not belong in Cup, can't take the blame. What a loser.

I got into a little discussion with paul about this subject a few days ago. Bodine crashes everybody. Did you see Harvick's car in the air? That was pretty cool. And of course he tried to say it wasn't all his fault.

That Wreck was Solely Todd Bodines fault. He had PLENTY of room up high but for some unknown reason he drove low and right through the grass. This guy better get it together or get out of WC. No wonder some call him Total em BODINE...

I really liked some of the comments from other drivers about Bodine.

That wreck was Todd's fault, he seemed really upset when they interviewed him.

I don't think that was completely Todd Bodine's fault, but he wasn't completely innocent either.

If you were an idiot who just took out 9 cars how would you feel...:)

This is the one time I will say this wreck was mostly Todd's fault. I know he gets blamed for almost all the wrecks where he is involved but me and Paul are the only ones who agree that they really aren't his fault, he just gets caught up in the junk. However, this one was his fault. I'm sure his spotter told him to stay low, but Todd should have known where Ward was and could have kept the #26 off the grass.

Whether you got there by accident or not, 3-wide in that turn on the front-stretch is not somewhere where I'd want to be. I used to wreck there all the time in my Sim Racing games!

Todd did say it was his fault and was to take the blame. He said he got in the grass so that he would not have to back off orrun into the back of the 22.

Todd was getting beat up on all day, he had saved the car a few times after being punted by other drivers. But you just can't do 3-wide in that dog-leg, grass or no grass. Todd should have known better than to clip that grass, but was afraid he was going to slip up into Ward if he didn't, so either way he was screwed when he got down there.

Funny, I heard him say "It was my fault"

yeah, b/c if you watch the video, there was an excuse. He had gotten on the low side of Burton and Green coming off the turn b/c they got into eachother a bit and slowed in front of him. He turned below them to avoid them, but realized going three-wide into the dog-leg wasn't going to work so the tried getting as low as possible and onto the grass so he wouldn't push up into them. The grass was wet, his car slipped, he caused the wreck. It was his fault, but he wasn't the only one to blame. At least he's got enough guts to admit it.

But he also he had an excuse for it too.

And that excuse just might be legitimate. It sure looked to me like Ward and Green slowed. Todd only had a split second to do something......he chose low (mistake in the outcome). But he had no idea that Green and Ward would move up (push?). He was commited by that time. He had a choice: Run into Ward, or move lower. As it turned out, he should have just held his line.......might have tapped Ward (he'd got blamed for that too) or he might have not touched and it would have been a great pass!! Arm chair drivers always have the advantage. Todd caused the wreck.........but circumstances played as much into it as he did. Just my opinions.:)

Todd Bodine has been placed under the spotlight, and it seems like people are always willing to place the blame right on him if he's in a wreck. The problem he continutes to make errors that has made thim the scapegoat.

For those that remember him racing a year or two ago, it was obvious Todd Bodine had a great deal of talent and just needed to find a solid ride to live up to his potential. I'm not sure his career can survive a year like this, though, his driving has really been awful in most of these races.

I definitely agree with you, DE Wrangler 2. I could have said it better myself.

I agree with you 100% Coonhound. I didn't see the race but I heard what happened. Bodine shouldn't even be allowed to drive. Every race he wrecks and this time he took out and this time he took out alot of other drivers namely WARD BURTON:bawling:

Bad deal for Ward and a few others. I've seen worse moves than what Todd did though. No doubt that if you go so low you clip the grass then pile up 1/4 of the field, it's your fault. But I have seen worse moves.

I think that we are putting a little too much blame onto Bodine. Yeah he made a mistake, and makes them often, but Eventually these mistakes will catch up with him...Travis Carter better be looking long and hard into where Todd is taking his one and only team...

Back off or go low? Todd does not RACE in back off mode. This time it caught him. That's racin'

“That’s about the eighth car Todd Bodine has totaled for my team this year,” Childress said. “It’s time NASCAR reviews some of these drivers who are constantly causing all the crashes. Todd does something stupid every week.”

“It doesn’t surprise me who did that,” Green said of Bodine.

“I just wish sometimes he’d use a little more patience,” Burton said. “It’s his responsibility to look ahead and think ahead, I can’t do it for him.”

I’m not going to take the blame. It was a racing deal.” Bodine said
