According to Nascar.com, Todd Bodine underwent successful endoscopic surgery to repair a ruptured disc on Friday, and is expexted to heal in 6 to 8 weeks.

Dr Tim Adamson performed the surgery, and is the same surgeon who operated on Sterling Marlin at the end of the 2001 season.

Just look at what Sterling did in 2002 so we had better watch for Todd in 2003!

Best wishes Todd:)

Hopefully Todd will be up and at therapy by the end of the week. It's a short off season, so I hope he does well.

When did Todd Bodine get that injury? I remember he had to miss the last race because of back pains.

"Bodine has dealt with infrequent disc discomfort throughout the 2002 season and was prepared to seek treatment at the end of this year's NASCAR calendar. However, recent on-track incidences, such as a crash at the Winston Cup race at North Carolina Speedway, and an accident during Busch Series practice at Homestead-Miami Speedway are believed to have caused the disc to rupture requiring the surgery." nascar.com

Glad Todd is doing okay. Best wishes for recovery.

Ricky Rudd had something like that a year or two ago. Didn't Mark Martin also have a problem like that?

I'm sure those cars are hard on those drivers back. Just racing go-karts my back would hurt sometimes afterwards, I can only imagine what they go through.

Nice to see that Todd is ok. Hopefully he can find some sponsorship for next year.
