It could be a really good movie, I haven't read the book yet, but was planning on reading it off season. Lots of good reviews about it. I know that Shelby tells the story, Ford and Ferrari competing head to head.

I would rather see Michael Waltrip play Shelby than Tom Cruise. There was a rumor that Michael Mann was going to direct and he was going to use Brad Pitt, but it looks like that deal fell thru.

When it comes to movies, accuracy doesn't really count and they have to change the story for entertainment purposes (Hollywood doesn't do documentaries) . I had questioned Cruise as Reacher too (I thought Clint Eastwood in his prime would be the best Reacher). But Cruise got the attitude right and thought the movie was OK (not great). I don't know about him playing Shelby either but he is a pretty good actor so we'll have to wait and see.
