Ok, so 1. Am I the only one who thinks that family should come first, yes Jason Myers was able to get to his daughter dance event in time, but I was raised in the beliefs that God (or in my case Gods) and Family comes first.

Also, am I the only one who thinks Jr. Miller is an ass?

Year after year you race every saturday night. Your kid only has one first dance recital, baseball or football game. You don't miss them. Know where I'm coming from? You never take "house" money to go racing either.

Why is Jr miller a ass? Because he evicted someone who owed 4 months rent?

Does the "showstopper" leave that plexi-glass on the front of the car just for quals. or the whole race.

I would say Miller is a dumb-ass.He said money is getting tight but he pulls what looked like 2 sellable trailers off his properties and destroyes them.I guess money is not so tight.

I would say he is an ass becausehe cares more about wrecking the myers boys than he does racing well.

Speedy, to answer your question first about family, the show made this look more than what it really was. Emma's recital was only about a half mile away at Winston Salem State University. I remember that night vividly and everyone cheered when he ran out to accept the pole award. Everyone except for those Miller fans and especially his wife and sister.

As for Junior and money, he has plenty but maybe it's because he takes care of his finances. As for him being an ass on the track, it all depends on who you ask. Just like this weekend's crash with Edwards and Kez, you will get wildly differing opinions. However, Junior made his name not by spinning people out, but by winning, even though there were many spin outs on the way. Junior is very much like what the elder Earnhardt was. However, in the last five years or so, Junior has not had the best equipment and he's had to resort to being overly aggressive in order to win. Though it seems as though he spins out Jason every week, remember that Jason finished ahead of him by a long way in the final points. Hell, even the showstopper Fleming finished ahead of Miller. And speaking of Chris Fleming, that guy is living in a dream world. He must think that people watching the show will believe that he is a top tier driver. His brother never won a title at the stadium but was and still is ten times the driver that Chris is. And it isn't so much the equipment he has. Think about this for a minute. Last years NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Series race at the Stadium was won by Chris' son Luke in his first ever race in a modified car. He won mainly from attrition, but even he could stay out of trouble. Chris' only claim to fame is that he is one of five featured drivers on Madhouse.

thanks for these insider updates Buckaroo. The inside scoop makes watching the show that much more enjoyable!

1. No. I agree. It's not like he was racing for the pole in the cup series. I would have told him “Go to your daughter dance thing without thinking twice and try for pole next week. The track and your position in the points isn't going anywhere anyway. Plus you are a mid field driver in a bush league series so Roush aint gonna call you anytime soon to drive for him. Come to think of it just stop, get a real job and take care of your family. Time to grow up."

2. No. I also feel like he is an ass. Obviously he, and a few others, can only gain position by wrecking other guys. He should also take a hint and call it a day. My advice to him "Miller it's time to get some Viagra and take your old goat balls home to the wife and never bring that ugly, cow faced slut back out in public. Go kick some more meth head, washed up prostitutes out of you junky trailers and send your ugly, fat kid to the dentist to get that grill checked out before he becomes some side show carnie freak, much like your cracked out so called 'crew chief'. Or is it too late for that?"

There is a local racer here who borrowed money on his house so he could put it into his car. Some drivers will spend there last dollar on the car instead of something that really matters.

Family does come first, but that is part of the sacrifice of short track racing. Gary Myers looks at his racing team as a business and he has sponsors that paid him to have those two cars on the track every night for a full year. It sucks I know ive missed several family events cause of racing but thats just the nature of the beast it seems sometimes.

Fail....just Fail.... when you have to borrow money against your house, that is when you need to prioritize.

Yea, but we're talking local, small time racing, it's not like y'all are in Sprint Cup and if you don't race you're going to lose out on half a million dollars. I just think that from time to time, you need to ask yourself what is more important, that I race, or that I be there for an event that really matters to one of my family members?

I was glad that last night episode of Mad House did show alot of train stuff though, Go Norfolk Southern!

The way I see it is that if your single or have enough money to play with it or your family is behind it and doesn't care, then it's no big deal, knock your socks off and God bless. But if it interferes with family time and bills to keep food on the table or roof over your head and you haven't gone further than the local ranks and your in you 30's, 40's and 50's, then its time to stop.

My guess is that their families are behind them or else they wouldn't be there. Also, there is nothing wrong with racing in the local ranks. It is not everyones goal to make it to the big leagues. At one local track here, they had a guy run 20+ years in trophy stock just because he loved it.

Didn't Matt Kenseths parents take out a loan on their house to keep him in a race car?

Local racing turns into a drug for most guys. Work all week and rob peter to pay paul just to get the rush every week. Its hard to break and most guys whose family's are not behind them racing dont last long at all. It takes a big commitment from everybody to get going.

BTW, Jason is the Myers brother that actually has a job.

The show is all about drama and makes it look a lot more than what it really is. I love those mods, but to tell the truth, if it weren't for the other classes that race at the stadium, it would be one of the most boring racing facilities in the US. The moniker "Madhouse" comes from what they have always called the Madhouse Scramble in which they run two races with the field inverted from the first race. Makes things much more exciting for the modified cars. The next series down, limited late models also run the double races as well. However, now and then, about every third week, there is a special race for the mods that is either 50, 100, 150, 199 or 200 laps. It is those races that are the most boring because they really do line up and run single file for most of the race. Things heat up near the end and that's when it gets exciting, but for most of the race, it's a real snooze fest. But those lower series are what makes this place crowded.
