Tony gets censored

Tony was interviewed on tape delay and he said his car was a piece of s-word. But TNT was able to bleep it out before they put it on tv. :(

Better fine Waaaarrrrrdddddddddd then too. Except he didn't get censored :)

They had interviewed Stewart before, so they had time to censor him. That shouldn't be a fine. That announcer was a brave, soul though. Stewart was not in the mood to be interviewed, and had to contain himself to only let out a curseword.

Ward Burton... I don't think his should be a fine either. It's the f bomb they are usually concerned with.

I agree, RPM. I'm glad I wasn't that announcer. I'm not so sure I would have gotten that interview. Tony was really PO'd. I'd have let him cool down and get himself together before sticking a microphone in front of him.

Tony's trying to stay cool and did a pretty good job of it. No more upset than about 42 other drivers out there would have been if they were fighting for the championship.

I imagine Tony agreed to the interview beforehand. Probably said OK as long we keep walking.

Who was fined this year for a word other than Knauss?

You could tell the announcer was being very careful. He wasn't sticking the microphone in tony's face, but he did have to jog to keep up with him. It was obvious Tony wanted to be left alone.

No one.

Earnhardt Jr said the same f-word but didn't get a fine. Being the poster boy has it's advantages!

Don't remember that one. When and where?

A few months ago.

Live interview, his boyfriend Waltrip even joked about it on his Monday night TV show.

No fine!

Todd Parrot was fined for the F-bomb. I don't remember if it was earlier this spring or late last season. They were eves-dropping on the radio during a pitstop.

if they dont want to know what these guys are thinkin, they shouldnt ask them

I agree Judas1, you know why should they be fined for be asked their opinion? Oh well.

Can't remember when Parrot's was either but wasn't Rusty Wallace fined a couple of months ago/a month ago for swearing when being interviewed??? Said "Ooops, will that be $5000?" I can't remember for sure if it was or was not. Oh well, guess it could have been worse than what Ward and Tony said. Was kind of impressed that Tony in a way even maintained a smile. No one said he couldn't smile with a lear. LOL

:D You take a guy that just smack a wall or something and stick a mic. In his mouth no telling what he will say. Shouldn't be a fine.

Stick a mic in front of a driver's mouth after a bad run or a wreck and Nascar's asking for trouble.
