Rumor on Jayski's...

Raines and team part ways? hearing #37 RJ Motorsports has parted ways with driver Tony Raines. No word on Raines plans [he is a HOF Racing candidate] or who will drive the car this weekend at Lowe's Motor Speedway.(10-11-2005)

Umm does it matter not like this team is going anywhere fast.

that could be true but i dont think he is a good driver
They are all good, just that some are better than others.

didnt he drive the 74 car pretty decent? they didnt have a sponsership but he put together some good runs...i think he's one of those victims that always falls into 3rd rides...could this be a sign that he's going to HOF racing?

yes, he ran pretty dang well for an unsponsored single car team.

Actually according to an update on JAyski, he is not gone. As for not being a good driver..I have to disagree. He drove the mess out of that unsponsered #74 awhile back. He sure can drive better than some others who shall remain nameless. I think he might be decent if he would get decent equipement under him. HOF Racing with JOe Gibbs backing might just be his ticket.

also, he looks remarkably like Mike Wallace cross bred with Robby Gordon, but he's much calmer than both. Also, would probably make a good football player.

exactly he does not desirve a ride he is a slow driver

You must be to new of a fan to remember a couple years ago in an unsponsored, underfunded team car Tony ran very competitivly and was contending regularly was in contention for top 10's.
Given good equipment, Tony can and would run with the best of them.
