Now that Nascar has changed the aero rules to be against Dodge and Sterlin I think Tony Stewart will be the man down the stretch to win the title !!!!!!!

Boo Hoo To nascar for changing the rules to Hurt Chip Ganassi in his bid for a Title! Nascar shouldnt be allowed to do that crap!

But I sure do want to see Tony take a title !!!!

That would make him one of the best drivers of all time with an IRL title and a Nascar title!:satisfied

Yep hate that, now the Dodges can't run with the Fords since Ford got all that help....OH Wait???

The Mopar boys problems are not directly linked to the aero change for Chevy and Pontiac, something else is obviously amiss here.

he is a really great driver and the later in the season the better for him.......but i want my jeffy to win but you know what? he can't win every thing and im trying to stay optimistic but i dont think this is his year :(

uh oh! A diehard Jeffy Boy Fan!!!!!!!!!!! LOL

Jeff is looking for a new girlfriend. Maybe you will get lucky and he will be your man!!!!!!!!!! :D

I'm all for Tony winning the Title over the Ford of Mark Martin, but those Dodges deserve alot of credit. In only their 2nd year back they have done AMAZING. One thing too is Sterling Marlin and Ward Burton are the Best the Dodge boys have to offer, and should be linked with the Best of the Rest.

I would like for Mark Martin to win, but if I had to pick who I think has the highest probability, it would be Stewart.

I think Stewart is more likely to get on a roll for several races than the other contenders, who in my opinion are more conservative (Martin), lack experience (Johnson), inconsistant (Wallace), are slipping (Marlin), or it just ain't their year (J. Gordon).

I do like Stewart this year, eventhough he has had some bad luck in some races, he still seems the most likely to get consistent. While Johnson is inexperienced I don't know how much that applies. He definitely has talent and its not because he's been feeding off of Jeff Gordon. His year isn't a fluke, and whether he wins or not I expect him to be up in the running next year as well.

:D Don't count yer chickens before they hatch Stewart fans!!!!!!

TS1 Markmartin, and jimmie johnson that is all i have to say. They are up there for a reason. I am a JG fan myself but I think hes to far back to win the cup, and I never thought sterling was going to win. Mark martin is a great driver and has been close to winning the cup several times, people have been saying JJ would drop out of the points race all year it never happened and with 8 races left I dont see that changing, look at the start list for sunday is a matter of fact.

I agree TonyStewartfan I think Tony will win the cup, because mark will have some problems and fall to 3rd, while jj will be a close second.

A possible 151 point swing at any given race and folks are thinking they know who's going to take the Cup?

Cool, have had my laugh for the day.:p

71 Fan ?

You gotta have faith in your driver !!!!!!!!!!!!

Of course I guess your driver isn't Tony Stewart so why have the faith!

I have no doubt that Tony has the stuff to take the Cup. Not a question of faith in a driver or not. The outcome is fate. If wishes were horses everybody would ride.

Jeff Gordon to win the 2002 Championship, what a great way to end a season after a divorce, new Cup team & ending a 31 race winless streak!

We all have our own opinion as to who should win, but there are so many factors that this year you could drop out of competition in one race. There are so many guys within 200 points, that this season is wide open. Whoever can stay out of the wall and have consistent finishes in these last races will win.

Last year Tony Stewart finished well in the championship despite the controversy about him not wearing a Hans or Hutchinson device. This year he could walk away with the championship despite this controversy about him hitting fans and reporters. He is a talented driver, and certainly can't be counted out for the championship.

You know what, I think Tony is onto something. He needs the controversy to do well. Give himself a little fuel in the fire and he will perform.
