Team Owner
Congrats on your drivers win. (gosh that hurt) LOL
frankly i can see tony using mobil 1 as after shave before using old spice. not a good commercial out of that entire sponsorship.
ExxonMobil signed a multi-year sponsorship agreement with two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Tony Stewart and Stewart-Haas Racing beginning in 2011. The new agreement allows ExxonMobil to build on Mobil 1's "Official Motor Oil of NASCAR" designation and demonstrate its ongoing commitment to NASCAR. "With Mobil 1's long tradition of partnering with world-class race teams around the globe, we are proud of our new association with one of NASCAR's top drivers," said Nigel Searl, vice president marketing, ExxonMobil Lubricants & Petroleum Specialties Company. "We look forward to helping Stewart-Haas Racing secure a Sprint Cup Series championship and add to the list of successful teams that Mobil 1 has supported for more than 30 years."
Mobil 1 will serve as the co-primary sponsor of the #14 Chevy with Office Depot, the "Official Office Products Partner of NASCAR." Mobil 1 will be prominently featured on the hood of Stewart's car for 11 races, while taking a high-profile associate role in the remaining 25 races, as well as the two non-point races. In addition, ExxonMobil will provide Mobil 1 lubricant technology and engineering support to Stewart-Haas Racing and Mobil 1 will be an associate sponsor of Ryan Newman's #39 Chevy, which is also fielded by Stewart-Haas Racing.
"As a team owner, I'm absolutely thrilled to add such a respected technology partner to our race team," said Tony Stewart, co-owner of Stewart-Haas Racing. "And as a driver, it's exciting to partner with a brand that has such an incredible racing pedigree. ExxonMobil is committed to producing the highest-quality racing motor oil and shares the same winning attitude that champions must have to succeed at this level."
Tony Stewart announced Mobil One as a primary sponsor for multiple races next year.
How about that 2011 Impala nose?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Stewart-Haas Racing will announce on Tuesday that Mobil 1 will join Office Depot as a primary sponsor on Tony Stewart's car in 2011, sources told ESPN.com.
A press conference has been called for 12:30 p.m., at Stewart-Haas Racing.
The two-time Sprint Cup champion and winner of Sunday's race at California has been looking for a second sponsor since it was announced that Old Spice would not return next season.
The exact numbers were not provided, but Office Depot is believed to have 22 races as the primary.
Mobil 1 is in the final year of its contract with Penske Racing's No. 77 team of Sam Hornish Jr. The sponsor became available when team owner Roger Penske signed a deal with Shell-Pennzoil to be the primary sponsor for Kurt Busch and the official oil of Penske's empire.
Sources said Hendrick Motorsports looked at Mobil 1 as a potential partner for Jeff Gordon's team, but Hendrick recently re-upped with Quaker Stake. Hendrick said at the time that there would be no conflict of interest with a team such as Stewart-Haas that uses HMS engines.
This is actually really bad news for NASCAR.
Mobil 1 is going from a full time sponsor to just 11 races, with no sponsor to replace them. Talk about not good....
Bad news for Penske but not so bad for Smoke.
yep, and that imo is a big reason nascar's not as popular as it could be. who thinks high tech when going to a nascar race? that's for f1. we want low tech beating and banging where a dent or 2 won't take you out of contention of winning a race. nascar has high tech'd it's way out of being the common man's sport. living on much reduced budget's may be a blessing in disguise.NASCAR costs have skyrocketed, and a lot of sponsors are goign away, with probably more to come. Not very many out there that will be willing to fork out $30 mil for a year of sponsorship.
Now that's on ugly ride! That reminds me, I gotta start thinking about what to get the wife for Christmas.
I agree. Who the Sam Hill designed that ride?
