"I'm glad we didn't have too many restarts, b/c everybody drove like idiots today. I lost a lot of respect for a lot of drivers."

I seem to remember, in the same race last year, Stewart promised to make the highlight reel every week.

Yea, how did that work out for him. I believe he only made the reel once.

Tony, sorry all the drivers want to win or gain as many points as possible. Mabey you want to take your BALL and go home.

I'll go out on a limb and say he will never win the championship again.

Tony wants to a Childress, ex driver that goes out and finds the new talent. Actually after watching him drive Hamiton's F1 car I wouldn't mind seeing Tony race some F1.

I remeber a few years ago when people were saying Stewart would never win another race. How did that work out?

And to the OP, he was talking specifically about Ambrose driving but TV never mentioned what was going on so you would have had to been there to understand.

Ambrose = everybody?

I bet every Cup driver says something similiar to what Tony said after every race. Tony just happened to be in front of a microphone put in his face shortly after the race, and just said what was on his mind.

Plus, maybe he's frustrated. It seemed his car was slow to get up to speed on the restarts. Can't fault other drivers for wanting to get by him. It's called racing. He should be happy with a seventh place finish. He won't get a trophy for that, but still.

Yeah..everyone think the others don't know how to drive....It's really funny when Mikey or Robbie Gordon say it.

Here's Frontstretch.com's take on what Tony had to say:

"Tony Stewart has always been one to give an honest answer to an honest question, sometimes being brutally honest. While the last restart was somewhat chaotic, there have been far worse restarts this year in the closing races (Charlotte and Daytona come to mind in terms of utter chaos), so Stewart’s remark just sounded like sour grapes over a potential top-5 finish being reduced to a still respectable seventh. In all fairness, Stewart’s frustration could partially stem from being outside the top-10 in points looking into the Chase at the moment, but to criticize other drivers for the final restart seems a bit short-sighted."
