why did tony go off on joey? w/ little ta no reason.
late nite...drankin-n-thankin.....when it hit me.

now ya may have ta be an ole fart .....like me .....ta understand this.......but.....

ta keep his rep intact ! an maybe sponsorship ! an he succeeded...maybe ??

even as an owner...aj ran over an whacked another teams driver ! ha!
unlike tony......in his younger days...aj didn't just go over n push n hair grab tho. ha!
he was after a lb. a' flesh....wrench in hand...if needed !

ought ta be sum archive aj vids out there fer ya young fellers ta drag up.

hawg needs to lay f the redneck ebonics, but Tony did indeed model himself after his hero. tony sure doesn't have AJ's physical presence, so he picks his targets very carefully. If Carl, Newman or Harvick had thrown that block, Tony would have kept his fat ass in the seat.

Just like Denny would have stayed in third if it was Tony or Jimmie or someone other than Joey at Bristol. These guys are bullies, they're not tough. Im not saying Joey is but I think he starting to see that they are all talk. Either way when it comes down to it Joey is out there in the same machines they are. If they want to take Joey out he can do the same thing, they act tough off track because he's a kid. But on track he is on equal ground when it comes to being a tough guy. Joey can take Tony out for blocking him just as easily as Tony can. Tony and from what I've seen lately a lot of others(in my opinion) only have problems with Joey because he drives like they do and hasn't been around long enough (in their eyes) to earn the right to drive like that. Well here's a news flash for ya Tony. Joey can drive however he wants on track, and there's nothing they can do about it. If Joey thinks blocking for the win is right, then just like any other driver that's what he's going to do. But no just because he's young and easy to push around(formerly) then he should drive the way they want? Im pretty sure if I had been driving in NASCAR for almost 15-20 years Id be pissed if some 22 year old came and showed me up too. They know Joey is going to start beating them and they're pre-embarrassed about it. They don't think Joey deserves to be fast or speak his mind like they do because he hasn't done what they have. Well, that's exactly what he's trying to do. He played defense ad polite little Joey for years and it got him nowhere. So I think he said F*** it! They don`t wana give me room to race? Im taking it! They wana say Im not worthy, fine! Ill go prove them wrong again next week. They don`t like me? That`s fine, respect doesn't pay points! I think the best thing Joey could do is exactly what he is doing and whether or not he gets dumped a few times for this won`t matter because if he keeps the attitude he`s had lately and keeps having fast cars he`s going to be just fine. Joey is at a fresh start in his career, and I think that he wants it to be exactly that. The Joey Logano of old is long gone boys! Welcome to the next generation of NASCAR!

I see it the same. Any new driver has to battle his way in. Tony loses in the comment that he won't give Logano anything, because Logano surely was giving way more than he was getting.

From the first day Penske announced Joe was coming onboard, I hoped he would adopt a little of Keselowski's attitude. Well, so far he's gone one better and really stood up for himself. Will he go thru what Kez did? I sure hope veterans and nascar learned from 2010. Those 2 can bump each other to the wall all year long if they want, but the crazy sheet can't be allowed.

Like ive said Tony or anyone wrecking Joey wont change anything except the outcome of that race. Joey is on the rise, he`s a new man this year and I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up well inside the top 10 in points after homestead.

need to preface that with: Joey is on the rise...so far, this year. Long season, and I don't think you have seen many of them..seasons... that is.

I don't think Tony would be caught dead admitting things like that about Joey. All he does is criticize the exact same things Smokey praised Tony for. That's the difference between a true professional race car driver, and that circus that the ass clown Tony Stewart put on the other day. Now put Tony in Smokey's shoes and Joey in Tony's.. how could Tony expect anything less from Joey than what he has shown to be "professional"? He is the one the kids are watching now, and he acts like a damn fool instead of a professional like Smokey there. He wonders why the kids coming up don't have any respect... maybe he should take a look in the mirror.
 
Jr you are so obsessed with your "hero" you apparently didn't understand what Smokey Yunic(who you don't have a clue who he is) said. If you weren't so obsessed, you might learn something around here. As it is, all you can see is one car on the track. Most of us here are fans of motor sports, we have our drivers we pull for, but there is a lot more to racing, than sounding like a broken record..opps forgot you don't know what a broken record is.

I heard him.. and from what I saw and what Tony said.. there are a few similarities but Smokey seemed to welcome the new kids.. Tony not so much, I know there are extended circumstances but they don't seem alike to me. And yes I know what a broken record is.. lol just because my driver happens to be the topic of conversation and in the news lately and I have talked about him a lot does not mean I have no interest in the rest of the field. Sorry if I want to defend my driver.. and most of it is just to get at people like you and frustrate them because I think it's fun...they say Joey sucks I talk about how he's the best driver to ever step behind the wheel of a race car.. then I laugh when they get all upset about it and act..well pretty much like you just now.. LOL Get over yourself old timer.

What Smokey said was if there wasn't a split in two racing organizations Tony would be driving a Bush car, back then a Bush car was way down the food chain, nothing like nationwide today. So he was implying that Tony had an easy route at the time to be driving in Winston cup. he also went on to say that there were 99 more Tony Stewart's out there. Pretty close to what Tony said about Joey Logano, rich kid that has never worked a day in his life. do you see how racing history repeats itself?

YES!...lol my bad I did think that when he said that but then I forgot about it when replying because I watched the rest and the other video. I did find it ironic Tony saying the same thing about Joey pretty much. I was thinking more about the respect part.. Tony being ****y and whatnot...Also just have to throw in there that what I hear is Joey will be a champion someday! :p That is interesting though, and by the way you're about half right, while I never really knew who he was I have heard a lot about Smokey.
 
Did Tony forget that this is racing not a sport for p&^%ies. Man up dude, and lose some weight, that kid probably would have kicked your tail.

tony does something strange every year to get angry at someone. remember the run ins with matt kenseth?? kenseth is a pretty clean driver I have always thought but some how tony and him has gotten mad at one another. I think tony puts on an act to maintain the bad boy image. remember who the highest paid people in this sport are. tony is one of them partly due to his racing ability but alot of it is maintaining an image to the fans. This is important stuff its what gets your car sponsored and makes you money. matt kenseth left roush because they couldn't get full sponsorship and funding for his car. Matt doesn't really do anything but drive well. I personally think tony is doing some of what he does as an act.

This is what he means by a broken record. How many times do you have to say this? Let me break it down for ya a little bit.

#1) You aren't "getting at" or "frustrating" anybody. The only thing frustrating anyone is having to read the same thing over and over.

#2) Nobody is "getting upset" when you say Joey is the greatest driver ever. You get laughed at for saying something so incredibly ridiculous and really makes most think twice about taking anything else you say seriously.

#3) The only one that needs to get over anything is you. You are the one that gets so anal whenever anyone says something negative about Joey that you just HAVE to chime in with "Joeys the greatest".

This is not a post taking any shots at you, this is just a post to maybe help open your eyes on how you perceive some things.

Tony needs to get training to lengthen his arms so he can make up the difference lost from his belly protruding.
Joey looks a lot bigger and stringer this year. Give Logano a little more time and he will be a force to be reckoned with physically. As for his driving, he's is on his way and showing marked improvement since joining Penske.

Okay maybe not frustrating or upsetting....but annoying? Yup... LOL See I made you waste ur time again.. For the most part I get what youre saying.. but I find it fun a lot of the time. However I have started to shy away from it and seriously become involved in other topics without bringing him into it. Basically if he wasn't in the news so much lately I wouldn't be talking about him so much. I just think its funny.. And I do think a few people have gotten frustrated with it, not with what I say but having to keep discussing it lol. I hear you, and like I said Im already toning it down..but at the same time I cant guarantee it'll never happen again. :p Honestly I could care less about what anyone here thinks of my posts. But in the interest of not scaring anyone off who is fun to discuss things with I will dial it back a bit...for now. :)

Agreed, he could start workin out and be huge by next year. He seems to be a new Joey with his new ride and Team. Im looking forward to this season I think he's in the beginning of what will be his best year to date for sure.

LOL Touchee. However Im sure there are more things you prefer to use your time doing. Im just a ball buster man that's pretty much it. Im not some 9 year old kid sitting at his laptop crying because Joey got made fun of lol. I just think its fun to argue with people. And most people have bad things to say about Joey soooo... 2+2=4 lol.. I like this forum though so Ill take my trolling to another one and keep it serious here.
