Mustang, you posted your picks after the deadline. Sorry to inform you but out of the respect for fairness and to be consistent I will have to assess the 50% penalty.

Smack500 was late twice with his picks, and those two times I assessed the 50% penalty.

DirtyMO was late with his picks once, but that was the weekend that there was power in NY, so he couldnt get on no matter what. He submitted his picks on Friday, but because of extrenuous circumstances out of his control I did not assess the penalty.

But because I have assessed the penalty on smack500 for being late, I will have to do the same with you Mustang, sorry.


Just to note, the reason I have the deadline at 11AM EST is so that everyone can get their picks in before practice times begin and are released, therefore no one has an edge and they are on a level playing field.
 
Oh I thought it was because of qualifying, I thought you would have accepted them If I posted them before qualifying. I never pay atention to practice speeds, but I understand and respect your judgement.

Yeah I still am going to count them, you will just get 50% credit. I cant let you have 100% credit because then smack500 will feel jilted because I only gave me 50% for being late as well, so I have to be consistent.

Thanks for understanding, thats why I have the deadline time in the topic thread. Its not a deadline to submit your picks, just a deadline to recieve 100% credit.

Again, this is just a game, but Im going to run it next year so if you have any suggestions on this they are welcome. :)

Sounds very fair to Me RobbyG Fan,glad to know that Mike Helton's not running this pick-em series as there would be some favortism I'm sure,JMO!

smack500 was the big mover this week, scoring 10 points and moving from 10th to 4th in the standings, quite an impressive jump. Congrats.

redrock continued on his Kenseth-esque pace, being consistent and keeping his points lead steady.

park30fan and 24thunder seem somewhat comfortable in 2nd and 3rd, but any slip up could cost them dearly, here is why:

Only 4 points seperate 4th through 10th in the standings. This is probably the tightest it has been, and should be interesting to see how it shapes out. All the players (drivers :p ) have plenty of a chance to catch 2nd in points in the next race if they have a good showing next week.
