Top Ten points history

The points system now used by the WC series has been in use since 1975. Longer than any other in NACAR's history.

So who stands as the driver (active or inactive) who has earned the most points racing under this system in their career.

My bet is on either Dale Earnhardt Sr. or Richard Petty.

Surprisingly Richard Petty does not make the top ten...........too many bad years since 1975.

Rusty is 6th on the list.

Pearson, like Petty is a bit long in the tooth for this one. Besides which he rarely ran for the championship only competing in the big money races for the most part.

The number one guy has been named, but only as a multiple guess answer.

You sure its not Darrell Waltrip? If not him then maybe Ricky Rudd.

RobbyG Fan mentioned him, and then mentioned him again, but couldn't seem to decide on one driver!! Congrats to him....

And to 97forever who siad final answer...DW

Jaws is number one all time under the Latford system.

Ricky Rudd is second and stands a good chance of catching DW

DE is third

Texas Terry is fourth

Bill Elliott is fifth

Rusty is 6th

Anybody got it in them to go for the last four?? None of them have been named, three of the four are still active drivers and the other one just quit driving recently.

Mark Martin is 7th....

Todd Bodine is not quite 8th,, but he is gaining on it. :p

Bobby Allison.

I would say Cale, but I think he is the same as Petty, not enough after 75

Dave Marcis might be one of them. He raced enough years to put up some all-time points.

Put me down for Sterling Marlin too.

Dave Marcis is 10th, bowtie mentions him first,

Sterling is 9th

So who in the world is 8th on the list??

It's gotta be Kyle Petty or Dale Jarrett. I'm going to go with Kyle.
