INDIANAPOLIS - A longtime member of the track safety patrol died Friday of injuries sustained when he lost control of his motor scooter and crashed into a concrete barrier in the infield at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
The name of the deceased was withheld pending notification of relatives.

The accident happened at about 7:30 a.m., and the victim was pronounced dead three hours later at Methodist Hospital.

Lost control of a "motor scooter" It's too bad, But do you think he was *&^$% around at the track?

I hope something in his memory is said during opening ceremonies tomorrow! RIP :lilangel:

Now, that's sad. Was he doing something important, or
goofing off???? Makes one wonder.

Being in construction I see people goofing off all the time, The most dangerous is idiots that shoot others with nail guns or someone sneaking up on somebody on the edge of a roof and scaring them.

Yup, like the workers over at my Mom's house. They were making footprints in the grass of cement. We were POed. They were not at that house again. :p
