I've seen this thread on other forums, but not here. So I'm curious, what race tracks have some of you been to? I don't have my list with me, so I'll have to post it later, but I'm wondering what some of y'all have been to.

I am a card carrying member of the Junior Johnson Grandstand, yes the old wooden bleachers on the backstretch at the entrance to turn 3 at North Wilkesboro, N.C.

Friendship speedway, a great dirt track in N.C.

Hickory alot, seen my man Dick Trickle win the in the Busch Series. Many a ticket stubb from there.

Tri-County speedway, were they will sell you the seat, but you only need the edge.

Rockingham, were you can eat homemade sausage at your neighbors camp underneath the pine trees.

The mecca, Charlotte Motor Speedway. Lots of good times and bad memories from that place. I have sat in about every section of the racetrack, including a visit to a suite for the 600. That was nice, but too many distractions. Free beverages and food. Good place to be when a rain delay occurs. Rather be in stands during race.

Martinsville. Saw Ricky Rudd win a hot hot October race. In the 90 degree range. Best hot dogs in the world, and you can have a 5th Avendue bar for dessert.

Bristol, only for Busch and Trucks. Never could score Cup tickets. Say Junior before he was decent, lead a bunch of laps early, only to pile it up the Ed Whitakers #7. Also saw Buckshot jJones spin Randy Lajoie out. Good fued, whre buckshot now?

I love Darlington, but only made it to one labor day Busch race.

I have been to Daytona once in July, before it was a night race. WOWEE that was hot. Dang squirral got in food tent and ate all our bread.

Been to Atlanta, first in 2005 when the Kid won the championship, and Dale sr. dominated the race. Worst race traffic in world, but some of the best roadside boiled p-nuts in the World.

Been to 'dega several times, also in July when it was dang hot. I love 'dega, best bumper to bumper racing in the world.

Seen Langley live, what a interesting location. Go Bubba edwards. Ate clam chowder at nearby resturant for first time, hooked ever since.

Had a bologna burger at South Boston. 'nuff said.

Seen another dirt track near Wytheville Virginia. Good times there.

Asheville N.C. was a good ole track, with a bunch of History.

I love racing, could not get enough of it at one time. Always wanted to go Richmond and Michigan. Anybody got any free tickets?

Milwaukee mile, 7 times.
Going to the Mile mabey for the last time if it closes this year. I have the greatest camping spot....20 ft from the main gate. It's party central right there.

Local Tracks
Madison internastionl raceway, too many to count
Slinger Super Speedway 5 times
Wi Dells Racceway park 4 times
Crandon off road raceway 4 times

You've never been to Old Dominion Speedway?

PM me a list of all your off weekends -- I'll have to set you up with garage passes. Trust me, that track is fun as hell.

Friendship speedway, a great dirt track in N.C.

Haven't been to Friendship since they remade it a dirt track. BTW, this is the track that Steven Wallace won his first race back when it was asphalt. If you love dirt, give the 311 track close to Madison a shot.

I love racing, could not get enough of it at one time. Always wanted to go Richmond and Michigan. Anybody got any free tickets?

Come on over to Bowman Gray Stadium some Saturday night have have a fun night of racing. Just ten bucks to get in and free parking.

I'll keep you in mind when 40 people offer me free tickets.

Ever since I began covering the local races and been going to ARCA and other sportsman division races, I just don't have as much fun at NASCAR races anymore.

Yeah I think stuff like the Canadian Tire Series and ARCA is more fun than cup too. I try to get a few cup weekends in each year though.

I remember seeing the commercials on channel 45 for 311 Speedway. Always lloked like a fund track to go to. I live in BAMA now, can't quite make it to Bowman Gray as easy.

I forgot one and added more info.

I think that is all of them, going to Bristol in August for the Modifieds and Trucks. Eventually I would like to go to a track in every state, have a long way to go before I can accomplish that. Always wanted to take a summer and travel across the country with my wife and do just that, maybe when I retire. I think that would be pretty damn awesome!

You can add my name to most of the that Great American Race fan was at since I was at most of these races with him (minus Asheville, Wythe raceway, and Friendship.)

add Concord Motorsports Park. The coolest 3 turn track in the world. I love that track!

I second that opinion on the heat in july at daytona and talledega. I had to take a trip to the track care center at 'dega due to excessive heat and excessive beer.

Andy,
You got that right. I love the Pro Cup series. Too bad they only run a handful of races

I love the local stuff much better than the Cup stuff, the trucks are the only upper tier show I like going to now. Wish they would race Thompson, I think that track would be perfect for them.

Daytona, Dover and New Hampshire

New England short tracks: Seekonk, Thompson, Waterford, Stafford Springs, Lee, Starr, Riverside (now gone) Beech Ridge

There's a pair of NE tracks that I'd love to get to sometime. Thompson (for a modified race) and oswego for the Oswego Classic.

Thompson is a great place to see a race, try the World Series of Racing in October. That will give you a taste of just about everything that races there, the Supers are something to see running around the 26 degree high banked corners. The regular weekly show starts early and gts out early, usually you are in your car and heading out the parking lot by 9:30pm. They really put the effort into cleaning the track quickly and getting the show to flow smoothly.

Hang on Turkey, you only had 5, I drank the rest of the 18 pack and watched all the race (Except during cautions, had to gone looking for the candy ace).
