No clue what was up exactly with Bobby Hamilton last night in the truck race. How ever his contact with Brendon following the checker flag certainly appeared both intentional and completely unnecessary.
I have no problem with rubbing, bumping, and hard racing. I even have no problem with drivers expressing their displeasure over some on track incident, real or imagined, for which they think some retaliation is in order. Pushing a rear bumper during the cool down lap, or leaning on another car's door is okay by me.
However to hook another driver's rear bumper while still at a fairly high rate of speed sending them into the wall is not within those parameters. Bobby not only tore up Brendan's truck but the risks were far too great.
I have not yet read of any action or intent of action on NASCAR's part, but I fully expect to. If not I will consider a gross injustice on their part.
Bobby's explanation following the race made no sense at all. There may more to the story than we saw on the broadcast, but, IMO, it best be a dem good tale, and even then some sanction should be in the offing.

WHAT HAPPENED WITH YOURSELF AND BRENDAN GAUGHAN)
“The Mopar Dodge spun the Square D Dodge out. Send some little bitty midget down there went to our toolbox to tell us that he accidently got down on the flat, sure have a hard time believing that. Brendan is always on the high line. I thought he was on the high line I pulled down and shot up under me and I got loose and hooked in the left rear. He brags about the high line all the time. He should of just stayed there. Ask him, I’m sure he’s got plenty of words.”
