I think Travis Kvapil is a nascar wannabee with no future in Nascar and that he was only brought up to the cup series so that Kyle wouldn't be the only rookie

I don't really care one way or the other. But I don't think Travis was brought up the cup so that Kyle would not be the only rookie. :) I haven't kept up with Kvapil but it seems I remember him doing okay in the truck series. I haven't seen him do all that well in cup so far this season........but that may be the car he's in. Brendon Gaughn didn't do so well in that car.....niether did Dave Blaney. Some drivers just don't come in the series and set the world on fire their first year........so I suppose all those could be classified as "wannabes" too? I say give the kid a year or two and if he still has a ride, then make harsh judgements if you must.

hmmmm could this post be because of last night's race?

well i know the 77 car is partly owned by Penske...although Jasper still has part ownership on it...but if history continues to prove itself...who ever drives the 77 will not be there long..that car sucks......but lets see what he does.

I agree the car stinks. Noboby else has run well in that car and Travis wont either. Sometimes a young driver will take just any ride they can just to get into Cup. Travis should have waited for a good ride. :(

totally agree. he's getting a bum deal cause that ride stinks, much like brendan gaughn did last year in the 77

He is not a wannabe! Travis won the Craftsman Truck Series in 2003!
He's just not doing good cause he's a rookie and like people have said he doesn't have a good of a ride.

Johnsonchamp48 you just started this forum cause Kvapil wrecked Jimmie last night!
stop ur whining and get over it.

Sad but true. Maj is a Johnson fan also. But she's not whinning about it. Everybody's driver gets taken out every once in a while. Like mine did. Kevin Harvick got wrecked last week and the week before that. But that is racing. So get over it.
:D

I appreciate that Gollum. That was nothing more than a racing incident. Travis just didn't check up in time and got into the rear of Jimmie's car. It wouldn't have been so bad if his steering wouldn't have broke. They'd would more than likely have gotten the car back on the track. It's okay, tho. This week starts anew at Charlotte! :D

I vote good racer, he did well in the trucks, has a lot of potential and raw talent. He drives the leftover cars Newman and Wallace don't want. We'll see how he turns out, time will tell.

Travis could have alot of potential if he had a better car.

he one cause nascar made a sorry call. Musgrave should of been the champ, the 47 truck just did not go on that re-start.

I just dont care for the guy.
