Travis Pastrana To Drive the #60 Car at Richmond

Just found out that Travis Pastrana will be driving the #60 car for Roush Fenway Racing at Richmond this week. This a great opportunity for Travis. He ran great at Atlanta. I hope he has a great race.

Oh I'm still excited to have him join the sport. I think that he and Danica will draw thousands of new fans as well as new sponsors . I just think that the two of them need a couple of years to catch up. My grandkids had zero interest in Nascar until Travis and Danica came along .

He seemed to finally start getting the hang of it. He won't accomplish much while he does all the other stuff he does. It doesn't seem he's committed to it beyond just saying he did it well.

Maybe if somebody signs him to a full time deal, that would change. But he is good for Nascar and brings in a young audience. Perhaps some of them young women.

Don't know how much factory support he has . thought that he had a Micheal Waltrip affiliation. I think that he may be a "Have Sponsor Will Travel" guy right now.

Some guys have exclusivity clauses in their contracts regarding manufacturers and some don't.

Yeah he isn't a "manufacture guy", he is a "sponsor guy". He had a sponsor and MWR had a ride.

He's been driving for RAB Racing who formed a technical alliance with MWR. Though this isn't time Jack has welcomed these buy a ride guys in (John Wes Townley) I'm surprised to see Travis in the 60.
