Trevor Bayne to miss Dover

No idea, everyone's being mum about it. I saw on his Twitter page that he got a new supercharged truck last week but can't drive it. If he can't drive on the road, something is seriously going on.

Kevin Swindell will replace Bayne for the Dover Nationwide Series race, Chris Buescher will be in Toledo for ARCA.

I just hope this isn't another Tim Richmond type deal. (I am by no means insinuating Bayne has AIDS, just that it may be a serious ilness)

They're now saying he will race in the All-Star race next week.

Kevin Swindell's father, Sammy has some NASCAR experience. This is from his Wikipedia:

Sammy Swindell (born October 26, 1955 in Bartlett, Tennessee) is a three time World of Outlaws champion, winning the title in 1981, 1982, and 1997, with hundreds of A-main victories to his credit. He also competed in the CART series in 1985 and 1986 and failed to qualify for the 1987 Indianapolis 500 in a March-Pontiac. Swindell also competed in a full season of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 1995, finishing 12th in points with 1 pole and 5 top-tens in the series' inaugural season. He also counts 10 Busch Series and 2 Winston Cup starts among his NASCAR accomplishments.

Hopefully Swindell can get some laps under him and bring home the car in one piece.
