Just got back from Palestine.
I was sitting at the kitchen table just after 8AM when the shuttle came apart. Had I been here in Houston, I would have sworn that a refinery, or two, had blown up. It was the same feeling.
The house just shook from one end to the other for about a minute. Felt like huge barrels were rolling underneath and bumping the floor. Everything just rattled and shook. I've never been through an earthquake, but it had to be what one would feel like. I now know that it was the sonic booms created by the pieces as they fell.
Pieces were found in Palestine, so we may have some on our property, but most of it is so overgrown, they may never be found.
It was very scary for a while. Then it turned very sad when we found out what it really was.
