Had to beat Andy to the punch. Lookout!

Still to early to tell what it will do. It could go over Hispaniola or Cuba. It could fall apart for good or re-strengthen after landfall. It could go to the Gulf, Florida, or stay in the Atlantic.

Charley showed everyone what a hurricane could do in the Gulf. If it hits Tampa for Ft. Myers the same way Charley did, Charley exploded from a weak 2 to a strong 4 (almost 5) in a few hours.

And Wilma, that hurricane went from a tropical storm to the strongest ever Cat 5 in 24 hours.

A lot can still change but the current track is not good, not for South Florida.

If it stays together over Cuba, there's no reason it can't become a Category Three or Category Four hurricane in a matter of hours.

Again, look up Hurricane Charley 2004.

Well it looks like it wants to come right up Hurricane alley into the Western Panhandle, got to check the oil in the generator.

A friend lives in Bonita Springs, he fully expects he'll be hit, maybe not bad but he's got his generater ready.

Three Hurricane tracking programs have the eye of Isaac as a cat 2 coming across my home on Perdido Key Fl. Wed. noonish.

I was in NO after Katrina for disaster response. I hope we see nothing like the images we seen then.
I have lived through them for 68 years GP, one more should be a breeze. Its a large diameter storm so the models are from Panama City Beach To New Orleans. It'll hit wherever it hits.
