Truck Race New Hampster

Not to insult the little kid who did the anthem but if he won the contest to do it how bad was everyone else?

If Nascar has taught us anything it's that one doesn't always place 1st because of superior talent ;)

Although, I thought the kid did OK and it seemed as though he may be challenged in certain areas...not sure

Harvick takes 2 tires and a bit of wedge.

I think it'll take a caution to save this race.

Plus, being 7 years old and having a couple 10,000 fans, drivers, and the rest of the world watching on Speed, might make anyone mess up a little, he sure did better then i could could do!

Its so bad a race they went to commercial inside 9 laps to go?

I actually enjoyed this race! Pee Wee stunk up the show with his dominant performance but there was lots of 2-wide and 3-wide action throughout the pack for the whole race!

I would rate it a solid 8

But that's just cause I love CWTS Racing! Well, that's not entirely true. I love RACING, but this series may be the best NASCAR has to offer!!

Thank you KKfan91, you just did insult the seven year old "little kid."
Actually I thought he did a darn good job considering his age. He didn't flat note once, did not add personal license to the national anthem as many of fame(?) have done.
I also think he has an impairment although that has nothing to do with his vocal range or singing ability. But no matter, the "little kid" done good. Real good!

NOW, if you want to comment on something, did anyone pickup on Larry McReynolds showing a chart comparing the differences between Sprint Cup cars and the modifieds. He was pointing out the differences in areas of horsepower, weight and tire imprint on surface. McReynoldss said NSC cars have 61 plus inches and modiifeds have 83 plus inches. Larry repeated there is a difference of 12 inches. Now, not being critical but do want to point out my math calculations (and I failed algebra 1 twice) indicate it looks more like a 22 plus inch difference. Not being critical but, I'm just saying..................

Yeah, well, nobody ever accused Larry Mac of being a geenie-ass!

Still, I like him as an analyst.

"You don't never want to not say...." OK dude, you lost me.

Larry Mack mangles the english language. With all of his triple negatives, following him is like tailgating someone trying to learn to drive a clutch.

I enjoyed the anthem by the kid. His family should be proud, kids are one the best parts of life.

The kid wasn't bad, but even in an imperfect moment their a joy, love, encourage, cherish them. If you are a parent you understand it' a good thing.

I cringe sometimes when Larry talks - but he has lots of 'sperience and even with his mangling of the language, he still manages to make sense - most of the time! ;)

He does robby, but I really wish someone would try and help him with his strange form of teurets. (I hope I aint not misspelling that right)

I think the young man who sang the National Anthem did a fine job.......some of the stuff ya'll complain about

+1

I compare Larry Mac to Reggie Miller (a UCLA Graduate, no less) when I talk about TV "personalities" who need a refresher (or beginner) course in basic English! LOL

But they are called "color commentators" for a reason! :D

Technicolor commentator would be more appropriate. "ab ade ab ade...that's all folks".

There was only 1 and the funny thing about that is that he is the one that complains that we complain to much. Then he picks on a 7 year old.

I'm not saying the kid did a bad job people jesus:mad: he did better then I would by far

That had to be one of the most boring races I have ever seen! And I've been watching NASCAR for a LONG time! My Wife loves NASCAR and she fell asleep during the race! I hope the Cup race is not the same.

This same discussion is taking place on a related thread. I just have to ask why you feel that way. I, BTW, disagree. Even though there was little question as to who would be victorious, there were many subplots working throughout the race and some great 2 and 3 wide racing taking place back in the pack. I wasn't bored at all! I thought it was an interesting race.

When one guy leads almost the entire race, that is boring. Yes, there was "some" 2-3 wide racing but nothing super exciting. And no good crashes! Face it, lots of fans love crashes. Before the race started the TV announcers said something along the lines of "There will be lots of bumping on this track." Well... I saw very little bumping. No good crashes. Yawn!!!

Please define what you consider to be a "good crash".

Sure thing. My definition of a "good crash" is this:

Kyle Busch running out of talent again and hitting the wall really REALLY hard. Then he bounces off the wall and takes out Kurt, Edwards, Kenseth, Hamlin, Logano and Keselowski. All are damaged so bad they have to take the cars to the garage.

Now THAT'S a GOOD crash! :D

Make it better if the group taken out also included Jimmie Johnson

Like I suggested, KG. Destruction Derby - or maybe even Monster Trucks, are right up your alley!

I take it you are a dyed in the wool GM fan?

I also enjoyed the race. :beerbang:

With Travis Kvapil driving clean thru the carnage and taking the checkered flag for the win!!!

That would be quite the crash.
