The problem is even if the race is good tonight, there isn't a good turnout

We may not see Knoxville back next year, hope losing the reliable crowds at Eldora was worth it just because Fox wanted a dirt race (even if the attendance was good)..

Surface at Eldora: Smooth, not too dusty and multiple grooves
Surface at Knoxville: Smooth, not too dusty and multiple grooves
Surface at Bristol: A dust storm on the moon

Purpose built dirt tracks only please.

I think the surface is better prepped to make these cars racey than Eldora was most years. Glad the weather held off and they're able to run on schedule. Hoping it will do the same for the USAC race there tomorrow night.

I can see some tempers flaring before this is over if the bottom remains the fast lane

Hope that 44 stays in the pits. It was just a rolling road block anyway.
