Truck RACE thread --- Texas

Great command to start your engines, God bless the Great American Sweethearts.

The competition in this series is absolutely pathetic. The 88 first turn of the race drives from 4th to 1st, wrecks, restarts 25th and in about 10 laps will have the lead once again running lap times a half second faster then the rest of the field.

The Busch, Earnhardt and Keselowski trucks can't compete with Duke Thorsen's stuff?

That seems a bit odd.

im not even trying to be a negative nancy, it's just pathetic how much faster the 88 is. I don't understand it. It's like he has an xfinity car and the rest are trucks

yeah

yeah, they probably cant wait to get a look at it after the race

The truck series where as a Matt Crafton fan I have the joy of finding out what it's like to be a Jimmie Johnson fan or a kyle busch fan

Wow!! Helluva job by William Byron! :punkrocke. if you can rim ride like that you can make up for speed on the long run. He did a great job stealing Abreu's line and running down Crafton

It's nothing personal to Byron, but my dislike of his owner extends to his drivers.

Duuuuude! Abreu almost had it.bad lane choice at the end but good showing.

Must not have seen the last 25 laps.
I did...the final 25 laps were good, but the race as a whole was awful. I rate races on the the entire package from the green flag to the checkered flag, not from the finish or a few good laps in between.

The first half was "meh" but I enjoyed the 2nd half.

You've shaken off your gloomy mood.

I'm so pleased. :D

Dull race early, but a barn burner late, I'll take that. Was hoping Rico Abreu could get it done, but he gave it a darn good ride anyway.

Perhaps it is just me, but I don't like it when the TV reporters get down on their knees to interview Rico. I'm not sure why I dislike that, but I do. It is not a big thing, just a minor annoyance to me. Rico should stand on a wall, or a box his crew has handy, or something. Or just stand on the ground. For example, pit reporters do not kneel down to interview Sam Schmidt at Indy. JMO.
