Looks like we're going to be running this race some other time. 10pm start time as of now, but it's raining again at Daytona International Speedway.

Guess I'll watch the boring ass olympic opening ceremonies.

Just saw on facebook that the'll run it tomorrow night. Rained out for tonight

Um I am watching the truck race now, is this not real?

LOL, I recorded it to and watched it...I thought it was real too.....There was a blirp when they come in takling for a minute it was raining, but I thought nothing of it!!!!! LOL.......

Sonja Cox, SMECO's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, gave the command.

I guess she wanted to get out of Waldorf and away from the snow.:D

Ryan Hackett might win this race if they keep wrecking the way they are. This looks like an ARCA restrictor plate race. Awful.

when is NASCAR gonna learn that Rick CarMichael CANNOT drive. Just because U kick butt on a motocross bike doe's not mean U have what it takes to drive NASCAR. It's two totally different things....

mike skinner comment

I'm surprised noone has a comment on Skinner's reference to a fellow Toyota driver who was twenty laps down and causing havoc.Could he have been referring to Kyle?

Not that I am defending young Busch, but it seems that everyone has forgotten what this sport is all about. I can only imagine what it is like to be in a race. Oh I have had my fun on a go-kart track and know somewhat the thrill of racing someone else, but at the speeds those guys go, it boggles my imagination. Kyle is a real racer and when he is in his car, he is racing, he is racing everyone. I rather enjoy watching individualist out on the track. That is afterall, something that NASCAR is wanting to put back on the track.

Hmmmm, maybe I am defending the little sh$t.

My question is what did they put on or take off his truck in the garage to make it much faster than the entire field?

I think he was just that fast. Had he not been laps down he would have been trouble because NO ONE would have beat him.

In defense of Ricky the bump drafting in trucks is a lot harder than in Cup or Nationwide. It has to be very precise, the bumpers don't match up like in the cars. I think Ricky coming from 2 wheels to 4 wheel sports this late in his career was a huge gamble. He will never be a star in Cup, but he might win a couple of races in Trucks or Arca.

definitely a huge gamble but i like it. i look at ricky's effort to be similar to danica's. very few think that either will be a major factor in nascar's top series but i for one would like to see them both succeed. one thing i've noticed is that they both are very smart and don't expect instant success. they're just learning the cars, tracks and tactics necessary to run in nascar. whether they can make the transition has yet to be determined.
