Trucks at Pocono

What a lame caution at the end. Cost Pauludo a win and the fans a legit battle for the lead. Instead we got nascar's 3 ring circus of a finish.

If you think that was bad, the Continental tire series was worse.

Dude, I just came across this forum today and what else could I possibly post about except the turning point of the race which was a yellow with 8 laps to go that was highly suspect. Then, naturally you're called a cry baby, cause its not like that's the only thing NASCAR fans throw back and forth at each other on FB and everywhere else.. I suppose you win the Internet or something because of all th posts you make, prob all about just swallowing whatever NASCAR shoves down your throat. Like a flag going down in football, fans deserve an explanation. But NASCAR has circus fans rather race fans it seems.

I watched a bit of that and saw it ended under caution. That was a let down, but at least the series didn't alter format or got involved with changing the rules and it was consistent. Other than that, I saw some good racing on the track, the were getting pretty shaky out there though. I just thought the race had enough drama with a guy like Todd Bodine leading, on a comeback and Miguel Paludo chasing him down and there was gonna be a battle. Blaney was closing in 3rd too. If it was legit, then I have no issues whatsoever. But like keeping score in a baseball game, what was the ruling, the call? Who or what brought out he yellow?

Yea there was. The mentioned he may have been out of gas. But I didn't record the race today cause I was home I'd like to see how many laps possibly passed from that point to the commercial/yellow flag. Even so, come back and give the guys sponsor 10 seconds of tv time showing his disabled car that brought out the yellow. Although they specifically said debris. Fans deserve an explanation of the events transpiring during a race.
IDK I seem to remember a car slow on the track though.

Guess that says it all.
So by being critical that makes you a whaling baby? I wasn't even pulling for any particular driver. I'm a NASCAR fan. I wasn't sitting here on the edge of my seat hoping Todd Bodine would win or anything. In fact, I was hoping Paludo would catch him.. And then who knows maybe those guys battle it out, wreck and Blaney comes by and wins.. That could've been cool too. We'll never know because it seems that a yellow came out at a suspicious time and the race was determined by 3 restarts instead.

MJE8Ox --- welcome to our little corner of cyber space. StandOnIt and others have a strange sense of humor and majored in sarcasm.
And I happen to agree with you about the caution at the end. It did seem to be unwarranted, but then, we're not in the control tower and certainly don't see what they do.

I'll give ya an explanation but you won't like it. Auto racing isn't stick and ball. Hopefully they will never stop the race and have the refs review. So it is never going to be fair, just like life by the way. I am not running the show when I watch a race, they are. they do the best they can do with what they have to work with. I saw the slower car and the caution come out, you apparently didn't, so there wasn't anything suspect, ya throw the yellow when a car is going to be in the way. Nothing suspect, not a turning point IMO.

Also , oddly enough , Nascar does not have any control over the tv cameras . What they choose to show , when they choose to go to commercial ,what they choose to talk about . This leads to grand conspiracy theories dreamt up by fans when they don't get the exact finish they wanted .There is ,however , a very easy fix . Sirius radio plays in car audio from various teams and usually puts on a Nascar Officials channel . You can actually hear them discussing the events on the track and the need for a caution flag .They normally have to err on the side of safety .Everyone pokes fun at the officials of all sports , but it's not an easy job.(not meaning to correct you , just add to what you said so well)

On a related note, Kez had a heck of a weekend, his truck won with young Blaney, he won the N'wide, and he finished 6th in the cup race.
