Why doesn't the truck series get more press? I've been more excited about the truck races the last two seasons over sprint cup.

Is the talent that much less than Sprint? Why don't we see some of those guys at the highest level? Surely Hornaday and Skinner could do well, or am I giving them too much credit?

I don't know about the talent being less. Certain drivers are better in certain cars. Look at Jimmie Johnson, mediocre Nationwide driver, great Cup driver. Skinner - great Truck driver, mediocre Cup driver.
 
Bodine and Benson had didn't do a lot in cup. It seems to me that in the last ten to fifteen years that you had to be young and pretty(and talented) to get the good cup rides.Hornaday,Skinner,Bodine,Benson,Crawford, and the rest are no longer young and pretty.
 
The trucks are much better racin (or at least they were the last time i got to watch them) than sprint cup will ever be

remind me of Winston Cup of the 80's and 90's

Who's really to say what they could do these days but they both have a history in Cup racing that didn't translate into much success until their move to the Truck Series.....

TRUCKS - Stars of the series.

I'd go out on a limb and guess that they're happy were they're at.
 
And don't forget Jack Sprague who tore up the truck series and couldn't get out of his own way in Cup.
