Tuna to Dallas

I don't see it either. Just going to be another power struggle. I've never like Dallas or Tuna though, so I guess in that respect they belong together :)

So nice to be assured that the Cowboys ain't going nowhere for the next few seasons. Parcells' salary will kill any free agent maneuverings they might have had in mind. One less team to worry about I guess.

I just don't see it working, either.  There is no way on God's green earth Jones is going to give Parcells the autonomy he'll want.  No way.

And NEED, TRL, if he's going to rebuild. Oil and water just don't mix.

Whats everybodys pick for the Super Bowl?
I say Philly has a pretty good chance...

Tuna is one if the greatest coaches in the NFL, as long as he has Belichek as a defensive cordinater, wich he will not. But I do not see how signing Tuna will hurt the Cowboys salary cap. That is for players only. If anything, I think players will flock to Dallas for the priviledge of playing for him.

I don't usually get into these football chats, but this one I can't avoid. This might be like a few years ago when Carolina hired George Siefert. Everyone said this will be the team of the century. Right! I said that while George might be a good coach, what he did in SF was the direct results of his predessor, Bill Walsh. You all know what happened here in Carolina and Siefert is history. The same might be said about Parcells. We'll see and I know my father will be happy. I couldn't care less. I'm a lowly Bears fan.

I hope it does work out. I am a Cowboy fan. I am by no means a fan of Jerry Jones or Bill Parcells, but Parcells definitely knows football and is a proven winner. Jones is an egomaniac, but I think he likes winning more than being right. After all, if he puts Bill in charge and Bill wins another Super Bowl in Dallas won't that mean Jerry was right for hiring and empowering him?

I hear Tampa Bay is trying to block this deal. They say they have a contract signed by Parcells agreeing to coach the Buccaneers. Since he never did, the say he can't coach anywhere else until he does. I don't know how it will work out, but Jerry's got enough money to make it all happen.

I think it's the Glazers trying to get a little pocket change back and wipe a little egg off their faces. Parcells will coach Dallas.

I'm just glad we got Gruden. He'll win a ring in Tampa one of these days.

I agree whole heartedly. And I think "Chucky" will win a ring someday, and it will probably be in Tampa. I'm just not sure Brad Johnson will be his starting QB when he does.
