when you go to the races, where do you like to sit..in turn 1....see all the action as they come out of the pits or in turn 4 see all the action of them going into the pits etc........

in about a month we will be buying our tickets to aprils race at the california speedway, every year we have sat in turn 4, but were thinking about turn 1 this next year...what do you think? whats everyones preference when they go to the races?

also we like to sit in like the 9th or 10th row too........love it.......:D :D

I've yet to make a NASCAR race, although I'm on a waiting list for Kansas. On Saturday nights, we usually sit in turn four on a 3/8 mile dirt track :)

Gopherguy.........you don't sit in turn one? You don't like mud in your eyes?:ROFLMFAO:

Depends on the track? Indy I would say that turn 1 would be best. Becaus eyou get to see the cars go down the front strech form head on,its so cool looking. greta photo opt. Plus its closer to the winner circle.

If you can get a clear view around a trc I would rather sit on the front strech but places like Indy the turn would be best.
at Cali i would sit in turn 1

I prefer turn 1, no matter which track. Mud goes great with beer:) and besides, you get to see more action coming out of turn 4 and the front straightaway if you sit high enough at an oval.

MY favorite place to watch these days is on the sofa! LOL

At Phoenix we sat on the very top row on the backstretch, we could see everything but the pits:)

I sat in turn 1 at KS and really enjoyed it. We were in the middle of the grandstands and could see all the way around the track, it being a cookie-cutter track. I haven't gotten to sit anywhere else, so I may be biased. Next year we are going to move down a few rows and I think that will be exciting. More seat rumbling. lol.

Might as well try a new seating place. And if you don't like it, switch back. I think if you sit in the right place around turn one, you will see everything you want to.

Depends on my mood. hehe.

I move around to try and find the best seat. I've learned the best place to sit at Nazareth is in turn 1 past the dog leg. At Pocono, I learned there is no such thing as a good seat.

Anyone know where the best place to sit at Dover Speedway is? I'm buying tickets in Jan. and trying to decide where we want to sit.

cutiepie, definitely Turn 1 at the end of pit road.

GREAT..I think we are gonna do that........it is only december but I am getting excited for april to get here now........:D :D
turn 1 it is then...ok DE? :D

rpmallen, at Dover, any seat from turn 4, down the frontstretch to turn 1.

At least once, get down as close to the fence as you can, just to feel the cars flying by. And, to watch them drop off the cliff into the corner.

Turn 1, you get to watch as they blast down the straights towards you and then can see them set for the turn and get back on it for the back streach.

Hmmmm, I guess I'm going to be the only one who likes turn 4 best. Our seats at N. Wilkesboro were right at the beginning of the front straight and it was terrific. I must prefer to see them coming out of the last turn heading for the finish line. Turn 4 for me.

For three years in a row it's been turn four watching the pack go by at 160 to 170 and accelerating.........now I want to see them come at me at 200 and going by at about 190 to 200!!:D Turn one this year for us!!:D Still going to be at about row 10.......close enough to feel the turbulance of the cars, smell the gas and rubber and still see 3/4 of the backstretch! Oh boy, can't wait to yell at Cutie while they are going past and her never hearing a word I said!!:D

DE, the Mrs and I go to the local track on Saturday nights during the short season here and we take our scanners. Not too many people have scanners at the local track, but we are trying to start a trend. We sit right at the entrance of turn one, only about ten feet from the track. The track is a 1/4 mile paved flat oval, the famed Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston Salem. The list of winners there is like a whos who in racing. That track used to be on the circuit for what was then the Grand National Series.

Hehehe, I learned my lesson when I was a youning watching my Dad race. You literally leave with a black face. I've learned the best seats are up top :)

I'm a turn one fan. Like seeing the cars come toward me, especially on pit road.

well, i enjoy turn four to end of pits in most places. some tracks it doesnt matter much though.
