I say TNT by miles. Good coverage, fair amounts of coverage for drivers, Through The Field, RaceBuddy
, Great analysis by KP and Wally, decent pit reporters who knew what was going on (minus Marty "that's the second time this year" Snider), fantastic pre-race coverage, Pride of NASCAR, Lindsay
n Location, etc, etc.
ESPN's improved, but they still have a lot of room for improvement. That just goes to show how awful they were last year. I still say Petree needs to go, and I think Dr. Punch was a huge assett in pit road in the 90s, swapping him and Allen Bestwick would be very beneficial. They have improved significantly though.
FOX was a HUGE letdown this year. Everything from the country-pop song to the specialty cameras to their freaky obsession with Wild Thing. Their Daytona coverage sucked. 50th running, all the history and pagentry and they squatted and pooped on it. The moment that kind of recaps the whole FOX experience was when they were running all the cars around that had won the Great American Race and FOX just sticks us with one camera of a decrepit old hasbeen lip-syncing a 40 year-old song.
