TV Ratings continue to slide

That should not be a surprise..... There are alot of people that don't get cable or satellite. The more and more they put on fx or tnt, the more they will go down.

Take a look at the numbers for Fox and NBC.

They local broadcast.

Besides, the other two are cable or sattelite and they are down from last year. Unless those facilites lost subscribers, how do you explain the drop?

A lot of the races aren't selling out either.

Nope, I kind of think this is just an example as to how this sport has peaked about a year or two ago.

I'm about to drop cable all together ... Comcast is so screwy and way too damn expensive. But that means I'd miss half the NNC season.

The channel I usually watch was showing football. So, they broadcast an alternate channel which didn't show any commercials but rather in-car cameras instead. Of course most of in-car was in-the-car of #8 - huge surprise!

I wonder if ratings will drop even more once the COT is full time?

FOX-5 used to pre-empt NASCAR for Baseball coverage and you had to go to the FOX digital feed if you wanted to watch the race live   And digital cable wasn't offered in our area   so we got to watch the races during the 2:30 am rebroadcast, thank god for VHS

Has anybody researched the "RATINGS" people?
What are the demographics? Who are they Polling? Regular TV, Cable, Sattelite, whatever?

It may very well be true, but just because Nascar related sites say so, doesn't make it infallible. JMO
