Anything being said down there in Vileland about the impending lawsuit on the NCAA? Apparently, every team in the SEC is very happy about it but the Vols....This is steming from the sanctions put on Alabama last year...

Word has it, and apparently it is documented and that some very high profile witnesses can attest to it, that there was some conspiring against 'Bama. Supposedly, Phat Phil Phulmer (Fulmer) and the SEC commissioner Roy Crammer (who abruptly resigned right after the sanctions were handed down) were in on this.

Several teams and universities are getting in on this, Old Miss, Georgia, even Auburn.

Ain't heard nothing. But being the Anti-Vol that I am, I wouldn't hear nothing either. I avoid all things UT like they were malaria. Hope they nail their cotton pickin carcass to the wall though.

I'll look around some, see what I can unearth, ask a few of the brainwashed horde what's up. etc.

OK, here's the buzz I get from the diehard faithful. Add grain(s) of salt as needed.

Locke was kicked out of Bama for illegal activities. UT picked him up. He has been dismissed from the team for credit card misbehavior. He is reportedly being given consideration at Tusculum College, a tiny school right here in my back yard (which means I may end up supervising him...yippee).

Now, according to the bleed orange crowd, Bama is blaming UT, accusing them of setting them up for the troubles they are currently experiencing with the NCAA. Of course, the faithful scoff at this notion, UT being above reproach and all. In the eyes of the masses, UT does no wrong, so Locke's dismissal from the team is further proof that they are above board etc etc ad nauseum.

I dunno. Just makes me glad I'm a Paterno fan.

But I'm sure they didn't say they offered Locke a substantial amount of money to play at TN, just as they did Tee Martin. (which the NCAA sweep under the rug)

Now as you know,only very little attention is given to anything SEC related in this state!!! :lol: :lol: :lol:


No,it's only discussed,debated and mentioned every News-hour.And the local sports pretty much mirrors what TWF said:The Tuscaloosa line is that UT IS at fault[somehow?]...just the typical back-and-forth thing that infects this thing.And 'conspiring' against is almost word for word the way the paper puts it.

Dont know much more than what I read,but I know plenty of folks that follow this religiously and will see what I can dig up.


And you were right,by the way----I keep my focus down on the plains a little more than in T-Town!
