FOX Sports has changed thier name to TwitterFOX. Also Speed is now called TwitterSpeed, since FOX owns Speed.

If you need more information, just tweet us at @TwitterFOX

This just in, we have now received over 10,000 followers to TwitterFox since 8am this morning.

I don't understand what the big twitter deal is the sites been around a couple years now but it seems like the last month especially, every show or sporting event they constantly bring up twitter and tweet this and tweet that, it gets really tiring to watch something when the people calling the race or sporting event or whatever are worried about the number of people on a website...

Who is worried about the number of people on a website? Somebody in the booth you think during the race?

Twitter has made sporting events that much better for me. Able to follow the athletes and reports and get instant updates. It is a must have on race day, I always find out stuff before they are said on TV. The reporters covering the races at the track are real good about getting things out as soon as they find out. Plus get updates from teams, and sometimes driver's wives on how they are doing during the race.

I started using Twitter so I could relay to my friends what I was hearing on the scanner during Cup practice. Since then I am on there all the time.

If you aren't on Twitter you are out of the loop or at least pretty far behind. I used to be resistant to Twitter because I thought it was stupid. But hey, if its good, its good.

I think that there are two types of Twitter users. The first are probably the same ones that use Facebook and the like. They are the ones that are into the social networking aspect of the service. The second are people like me who couldn't give a crap about what someone had for dinner or what movie they saw. I only use it for information/news. For that it's a great source of information and can't be beat. Say what you want about it but you are 'in the know' if you use it for the later. If you are following the legitimate people that bring us the sport then you'll get the news before the majority even know it's the news.

I agree with dpkimmel2001. I unfollow people all the time for being annoying but there is some good info as well. Jeff Gluck and Marty Smith usually have the inside scoop on things. Jeff Gordon talks about how his car is handling from time to time. And sometimes if you send a Tweet to NASCAR Now they put it on TV. :D

If you ever make it to the track make sure that you take part in one of Jeff Gluck's Tweeups. You won't be sorry. Very cool service that he provides. He's had a NASCAR driver @ ever one that my wife and I have attended. We'll be going again in a couple weeks when we're @ Bristol.

My son and I are going to attend the Richmond races at the end of April. I plan on attending a Tweetup or 2 but didn't realize that Gluck had such good ones. I appreciate the info!

The last race we were at was Martinsville this past October. Jeff Burton was his special guest on race day morning.

Can I get a ride? LOL

Check out this link of his top Tweetups from last season.....

Wow. That is extremely cool. My kid is going to love this. (so will I) I've went to Jeff Gordon's bowling tourney in 2007 and met a bunch of drivers and assorted NASCAR people but my kid was only 3 and couldn't go. If he can meet a couple of Cup guys this year he'd be pretty pumped. He was excited about meeting AJ at Best Buy last year.

Jeff Gluck is my favorite to follow for Nascar news/topics. He is everything Jenna Fryer is not. Jim Utter is another very good one to follow. On a side note both Jim Utter and Jeff Gluck on are google+. If you follow them they will follow you right back. For those who don't know what Google+ is just think Twitter meets Facebook. It is a very awesome service which I hope catches on.
