COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) - Peter Ueberroth dropped out of the California recall race Tuesday, leaving just two prominent Republicans seeking to replace Gov. Gray Davis. The move came as the latest poll showed him trailing badly in the field of candidates in the Oct. 7 election.
