He was mired in the back for a while. That 2 tire stop put him up front. Until Kahne and Busch passed him. As reck said, w/out the loose lug nuts who knows how it would have played out as Jeff comes from 25th to 5th.Lap 101 -- Right now, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart and Jeff Burton are tied with 3,206 points, as they currently run.
Betsy- we all know you hate robby. You don't have to constantly rub it in week after week.
I don't know about that. I'm getting old but if my memory is right Jeff lead for a few laps. Meanwhile, maybe the Lil'E fans should count themselves lucky -

As far as Robby, did I miss them saying why he was out? Or, was it just lousy coverage...
He had a freakin flat tire. Damn Robby Gordon!!!! What the hell was he thinking. Every other driver didn't get a flat, why did he? Then he had the gall to let his transmission disintegrate. Who does he think he is....Betsy????
I guess as well as spinning out he also missed a gear? I think he was the only one with OUT by his name when the race was over..

just to be the smart one, i'll insert technical explanation here for the second half of the post:When ya spin out, there is a good chance the motor will roll backwards and that can take out a motor, gears and everything. Kind of like driving down the interstate at 65 and slaming it down in R. dont work to well now does it?
just to be the smart one, i'll insert technical explanation here for the second half of the post:
In an automatic, yes you can shift straight to reverse on older vehicles- newer ones supposedly have a switch to disable reverse if the speedometer is registering a speed higher than 5 mph forward
in a manual, it is feasably impossible to shift into reverse without holding the clutch for a long while. This is because reverse is unsyncronized and the teeth on the splined collar unit must synchronise to the reverse gear. Because the collar unit is splined to the output shaft, it is moving in the same direction as the ouput shaft- forward. When you put the shifter in reverse, the teeth grind against the gear, which is still rotating in the opposite direction of the motor due to primary gearing, which is spinning in the opposite direction of the collar.
or, the simple Tech-splanation:
