Underated...Overated?

Who are the most overated and most underated Winston Cup Series Drivers to you?
 
Underated i would have to say Blaney.....overrated that is a tough one , but i would go with Rusty at the moment, he seems to have lost his edge.
 
Underrated I would have to say Blaney also.
Overrated I would say J. Johnson or J McMurray.
 
Underrated I would have to say Blaney too.
Over JJ for sure!
 
At the beginning of 2003 I would have said Blaney was the most underated, but now I think Robby Gordon is about the most underated or his teammate Jeff Green.
Overated I would have to say Ricky Rudd possibly.

Currently...underated? Ricky Craven, but last year at this time I would have said Matt. Overated? I guess I'd say Harvick simply because he hasn't shown the promise of his rookie season. A lot of people had him winning the Cup last season.

Overated: All of RCR
 
How is RCR overrated? Everything I've heard about them states how disappointing they are running this year.
 
Overated: Dale JR, ricky craven, Jamie MacMurray, ryan newman, elliot sadler, waltrip

Underated: Dave blaney, Johny benson, Ricky Rud


I think some people overate and underate jimmy johnson

underrated....hmmm, let me think about that for a while

overrated...

Dale Jr...I realize he is talented and has won some, but with the equipment and team he has he should be much more consistent.

Robby Gordon...Very good open-wheel driver but just has never matured as a cup driver.

Rusty Wallace (the current version only)...With no disrespect to the man's accomplishments in the past, the current version makes you wonder how he ever won 50+ cup races. He tends to make too many adjustments. He fixes it until it is broke.
 
Underrated...

Todd Bodine...Has a bad reputation, but he will win in Winston Cup

Ricky Craven...Tough to compete as a single-car team, but he is very talented

Casey Atwood...He will be back and he will win a lot of races

I think there are overraterd because they have had such success in the past and the pundits are looking for things to continue in the same way. Harvick won in his third race, an unusual accomplishment, ad despite showing flahes of brilliance, but like Robbie, he hasn't produced. Jeff Green has apersonality disorder and thinks he is better than he is. Actually, an outside observer might draw a conclusion the three drivers have personality conflicts thus creating inner conflict throughout the entire team.

RCR is running on past history and every team has a slump time. They are in one right now and there are many underlying circumstances. Meanwhile all spectators expect more than they are getting from RCR. Until RCR produces better results, they are overrated.
