FONTANA, Calif. - Roush Fenway Racing is taking delivery of the much-coveted UPS sponsorship.

UPS has reached a multiyear agreement with Roush to sponsor the team's No. 6 Ford driven by David Ragan beginning with the 2009 season, The Charlotte Observer and ThatsRacin.com have learned.

A formal announcement of the move is expected within the next two weeks, sources said Sunday.

UPS also considered sponsoring a car with Stewart-Hass Racing and briefly considered sponsoring NASCAR's Truck series, NASCAR officials had previously acknowledged.

Ragan, 22, is in his second full season of Cup and Nationwide competition with Roush and entered Sunday's race still in the hunt for a spot in this year's Chase.

UPS currently sponsors Michael Waltrip Racing's No. 44 Toyota driven by David Reutimann. The company sponsored veteran Dale Jarrett for several years prior to this season.

So I guess this says who Roush will be dropping when the 4 car rule comes into effect

It's truly a shame to see where Yates racing is today considering their history. But it really shows how underfunded teams can't compete today. Perhaps I should say not as well funded instead of underfunded.
Jamie is going to be out and with his performance in the 26 I don't expect he'll get many calls. That's a shame because I think with the right team and equipment he could be competitive.

Are you saying that the 26 is the donkey of Roush? With McMurry I can't tell if it’s him or the car. He is very inconsistent. One race hes in the top ten then the next he decides to turn right. Its been that way all season. I can't figure that guy out.

when he took over for sterlin marlin and won that charllotte race that team was in championship contention and he did nothing with that team and when he took over the kurt busch ride that was a championship team and he has done nothing I don't know about now but he had a top notch ride and he pissed it away.
