Patrick, who started from the pole position for the Nationwide Series race, was running in the middle of the pack when her No. 7 Chevrolet spun entering Turn 3 on the 50th lap. Replays showed JR Motorsports teammate Cole Whitt's No. 88 Chevrolet bump-drafting the back of Patrick's car before the spin.

Patrick ranted about Whitt over the radio after the incident.
"The (expletive) 88 hit me while we were in a big pack! What the (expletive)?" Patrick screamed.
Her crew chief, Tony Eury Jr., answered: "Yeah, he wrecked the (expletive) out of you."
Patrick replied: "What the (expletive) is he thinking?".....
