Vallejo, California

Even though I'm not (nor ever have been) an Gordon fan, it's about time they say he's from Vallejo. I grew up there, went to church there, my first 18 years were with a Vallejo, CA address (but went to school in Napa...go figure). And it's not very often that they say that. You usually hear Pittsboro, IN.

But someone from California still won't win today

C'mon, it's all in a word. We all know they say Bobby Labonte and brother Terry are from Corpus Christi, Texas, but neither of them have lived there in years. I was born in a little town in Kansas, but only lived there for six months. I will always say that I am from Oklahoma. But when someone asks me where I'm from these days, I tell them the truth that I'm from Winston Salem, NC.

So he moved to Indiana when he was a teen, right? I guess they like to claim him, too. It doesn't say "birthplace of" just "home of." Everyone wants to claim a champion doncha know. He has however many homes now and sometimes they/he will say Charlotte, other times Pittsboro, but I've never heard him or them say NYC where he spends a good amount of time, along with several other drivers.
