That's because they were late in the flyover.
I noticed yesterday that Charlie Daniels dragged out the end of the anthem, almost as if he were trying to delay the end for the flyover.
They are supposed to flyover at the end of the anthem. This takes a bit of coordination with the production crew and the military. Must have been some problems with the schedule this weekend.

Kevin Harvick's crew cheif was in a very bad position with the fuel mileage situation developing the way it was. He had a couple of choices and he definitely made the wrong one. It seemed like he just kept hoping for a late caution that never came.
If I was a fan of Harvick's, I would be pretty hacked off too Gollum.

I can see waiteing for a caution. But I am not a gambler I would have had to bring him in and got gas. Thus having a better finish and not drop 3 spots in the points.
