The perfect plan was in place.Nothing could go wrong at all.

Had to take off work because my wife 'needed me there for an important family matter'.Perfect!Off work on a friday before a big local race....

Took off work today, honey, because I 'needed to get a lot of those things done around here I promised I would do'.Perfect! No intentions of doing anything except preparing to catch the Dega short track race tonight....

So far,so good.Ms.97 unfortunately has to work today! What a shame,we could have spent-uh-quality time together while I cut the yard and fixed the mailbox post!

I forgot their are creatures in Hades with pitchforks in hand that arent as diabolical as Females are!It was almost as if my wife felt I had something race-related up my sleeve.

Since when did she start noticing when the race was even in town?

Ms.97 had to take off work today because of 'important family matters'.....and apparently to make sure I fill the weed-eater up properly.

Oh this is quality time. The grass is pretty high I guess. But those lawnmowers are very bad for the ozone level, honey!

Found out she's not much of an environmentalist.Screw the ozone level.

At least, then, a little-uh- pre-race weekend romance then?At least the kids are in school. As if my charm could carry the moment, maybe distract her just enough....

Really high grass and a left leaning mailbox post arent conducive to romance,I just found out.

Damn!I felt like a hooker in sunday-school now.No escape.Work would have been preferable...at least I would have been paid for working there!

Why do women to this? Why be so appearance phobic? The yard looks pretty cool to me.And dont postal-workers make good money?

Men know that a yard, mailbox or leaking washing machine just aren't THAT important.

So to make a long story short,I will be offline for a while....I have to find the lawnmower out in the backyard somewhere under the foilage.

But if the ozone falls apart tomorrow, dont blame me!

:eek:rders: "Back to work,97!"

Hope you completed your "Honey Do List", and make it to the track tonight.
And all of us women aren't evil, I would have said the hell with the yard and headed to the track! :D

:salute:
