They've been installing the lines here for the past week. County just authorized a Verizon cable franchise last night -- we'll have it available in the area within the next 60 days.

I can't wait to tell Comcrap (their $70/month 30 channel cable and their $60/month internet) to piss off. I bet Comcrap's gonna lose a lot of business the day FiOS is activated. I'll be switching to Verizon the da... scratch that, the minute it's avaliable. :)
 
Verizon came though my old neighborhood a few months back and laid evertthing. Ripped up tree roots along the way...said there was nothing we could do about. At least I don't live by that particular tree anymore...
