We grossed $10,959 and banked $7,597.50 after expenses. We had 384 cars registered, 80 some bikes plus several tracked military vehicles.
At the first meeting for next years show last Monday night they nailed me to be co-chair. Ok, so what I've done so far. Got the Bristol Train of Artillery hooked up.
RI State Police will attend as the Honor Guard
Jay Leno recently bought a place in Newport and we all know he's a car nut. Awaiting a call or email back from his PR guy.
Now this is a flag! 50 x 35 feet!
A 40 with a flip nose, all Ford. 351 Winsor. Meticulously done, absolutely perfect. And it's a driver! He was here at 6 AM!
Two flawless '41 Buicks, a 2 dr and 4 dr owned by the same guy who also owns the fire trucks used to hoist the flag!
Lotta work, lotta fun. Can't wait for September 27th to come!
