What are your thoughts and feelings about the suspected traction control being used by Red Bull on Vettel 's car through KERS?

The leading speculation, posited by Racecar Engineering, is that Red Bull has managed to link the suspension in Vettel’s RB9 to the hybrid Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) onboard. KERS has been around for a few years and gives drivers a power boost in short bursts, and because it’s an electric motor, the torque output can be tweaked on-the-fly — just like a traditional traction control system.

By linking the suspension to KERS, when the pressure in the shocks changes while going through a corner or over a bump, the RB9 could limit power when compressed and boost power when expanded, all without interacting with the ECU and running afoul of the FIA’s regulations.

I dont know if it is true, gotta give it some thought but the article is well written and makes a lot of good points.

And the FIA is too dumb to catch on to this ????

Next week he will be accused of having anti-gravity shoes obtained from aliens by the Nazis

Like every team that develops innovations for an advantage they probably follow the letter of the law but not the spirit of the law. I'd say F1 would consider the recent Waltrip deal to be a sound business decision.

IMO, it's more likely then unlikely. Vettel is a good driver, but I don't think he's superior to Alonso or some of the rest like the results show but his car has a clear advantage over the rest of the field and traction control would explain it. That video clip certainly supports the claim also.

I don't think Vettel has had a bad start all year... More anecdotal evidence?
